The programme titled “Engineering Your Future: The Journey Towards a Professional Engineering Career” was successfully held at Politeknik Ibrahim Sultan (PIS), Pasir Gudang, Johor. A collaborative initiative between the Mechanical Engineering Department and the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), this event provided students with invaluable exposure and guidance regarding professional engineering pathways and BEM registration requirements.

The morning session commenced with a prayer recitation and safety briefing, followed by warm welcoming remarks delivered by Encik Muhammad bin Mustapha (Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department) and YBhg. First Admiral Dato’ Ir. (Dr) Ahmad Murad bin Omar (Retired) (Chairman, Working Group on BEM Outreach). Attendees were then presented with BEM’s corporate video introduction before capturing the moment during a group photo session.

The event proceeded with informative talks and presentations aimed at guiding aspiring engineers. Ir. Mohd Noramil bin Mohd Daril (Executive Director, BEM) delivered a crucial presentation on Mandatory Registration with BEM. This was followed by a two-part career session titled Starting My Career in the Engineering Profession, presented jointly by YBhg. First Admiral Dato’ Ir. (Dr) Ahmad Murad bin Omar (Retired) and Ir. Dr. Ricky Liew Chee Leong.

A key highlight of the programme was the interactive forum titled “Engineering Your Future: Choosing the Right Path for Your Engineering Career,” moderated by Ir. Mohd Noramil bin Mohd Daril. The session featured an esteemed panel of industry and academic leaders, including YBhg. First Admiral Dato’ Ir. (Dr) Ahmad Murad bin Omar (Retired) (Chairman, Omarhams Corporation Sdn Bhd), Capt.
