ASIA PACIFIC ACCREDITATION AND CERTIFICATION COMMISSION (APACC) POLITEKNIK IBRAHIM SULTAN
The PIS APACC re-accreditation on-site visit, conducted from May 6 to May 8, 2025, was a significant milestone in the institution’s effort of pursuing quality and excellence. The accreditation process was led by Lead Accreditor Engr. Marjorie Mendenilla, alongside Member Accreditor Prof. Naeem Yaqoob and Documentation Officer Ms. Stephanie Rimas. The APACC President, Prof. Dr. Suresh Kumar Dhameja graciously joined the evaluation on the first day.
During the three-day assessment, the accreditation team evaluated seven key criteria that serve as benchmarks for institutional quality. These criteria included areas such as governance and management, teaching and learning, faculty development, student services, research initiatives, industry collaboration, and institutional sustainability. The team engaged in comprehensive discussions with stakeholders, including faculty members, administrators, and students.
In addition to evaluating documents and processes, the accrediting team also conducted an extensive facilities visit across various academic departments. They assessed the learning environment, laboratory resources, research centres, and student support facilities to ensure they align with APACC standards. Their observations and feedback provided valuable insights into potential improvements that could enhance institutional effectiveness and student experiences.
